Do you have a store where we could go to?

 

Viva Vintage is an online clothing store so you could only find us here in cyberspace. Maybe later on, if everything goes well in terms of customers’ response to our pieces and if we greatly feel the need to put up a store where we could personally attend to customers, we will let you all know.

 

Where do you find your clothes?

 

We get it All-over! For the vintage pieces we scour and hand pick it from thrift shops, flea markets, garage sales here in Manila and in Los Angeles, our mom’s, aunts and grandma’s closet and sometimes even other vintage stores! We order our vintage inspired items from small designers and manufacturers that can fit our style and ideals.

 

Once an item is labeled SOLD, does that mean that I can no longer purchase it?

 

We are always asked this question. Since most, if not all, of our stuff are pre-loved, we only have one stock,color,style,piece etc. per item/top. So once the word SOLD is place next to an item's name, It's already gone.

 

Why are SOLD ITEMS still posted on the PHOTOS AREA? Why not just take it out in the gallery?

 

We CHOOSE not to delete albums of SOLD items as it is a way of tracking down old items and buyers could request or ask us to let them know if a similar item like the one already sold is up for sale. For impatient buyers convenience, JUST PLEASE BROWSE the first 3 pages.

 

How do I reserve an item that I like?

 

Please click the HOW TO GET THE ITEM link on the main page to reserve or purchase an item. We do get a lot of reserve-this-for-me replies on the items' albums but we don't honor that. Please send us an SMS message stating the Item's name, your complete name, mailing info and mode of payment so we could process your order. We STRICTLY follow this requirement

 

How long can I reserve an item?

 

We can only hold a certain item that you like, Strictly for 2 days only.

 

How do you rate the quality of each item?

 

Our chief goal is to provide excellent vintage clothing and non-vintage pre owned clothing to stylish people. We do not make habit of purchasing anything with obvious "problems". You will find most items in VERY FABULOUS to just FABULOUS or very good used condition. It is very important to keep in mind that even a vintage item in SUPER FABULOUS condition is NOT NEW.

 

SUPER FABULOUS

means Item is in as good as condition as when it was brand new.

 

VERY FABULOUS

means exceptionally cared for item in excellent used condition with very little sign of wear

FABULOUS

rating is given to an item well cared for and in very good used condition. Slightly more signs of wear from use or more significant wear that is difficult to see unless looked for and/or is not visible when worn. Examples include but are not limited to: staining on inside linings, a small spot or snag that is not easily detected or on an item that would otherwise be considered excellent but for the small flaw.

 

SLIGHTLY FABULOUS

are items that have more wear and sometimes more obvious spots or damage that are present, but the garment is still wearable. Examples include but are not limited to: visible stains, spots, snags, broken zippers, possible repair or mend work. There are very few items of this quality on our site, but occasionally one will be offered

 

How do you determine the sizing of each item?

 

Sizing is always a bit tricky when dealing with vintage clothing because measurements/sizing has changed over the years. A 50s dress marked size 12 is NOT the same as a modern size 12. And non- vintage or modern pieces also have different measurements and it varies. For this reason we DON'T PUT THE SIZES on the description. So please check the given measurements. We measure all of our items lying flat, so to get an idea if something is going to fit you, find a similar piece in your closet and measure it flat and compare your own measurements to the one we have provided.

 

Here is some other information that may help you when determining an item's fit potential.

 

* When a hip measurement is listed as FULL that means the skirt will fit most all hip measurements due to shape of garment.

* Elastic waistlines and other elasticized segments will be listed with UNSTRETCHED measurement and FULLY STRETCHED measurement. This is to allow you to determine your personal desired fit.

* On KNIT GARMENTS or items with stretch we will try to give a suggested range of fit. If there is not a range given we have simply taken the measurement, not stretching the item, however there will usually be an inch or so in ease due to stretch of fabric or knit construction. Please inquire on any particular item you are not clear about.

* On WRAP dresses, tops and skirts we also try to give an average fit range. If there is not a range given the measurement is a flat measurement of the largest possible size.

 

How do you determine the age or era of each vintage piece?

  

We make every possible attempt to accurately establish an age or age range of items offered. Items are given an age or age range by using a combination of research, experience and fact taken from the item itself. Because we are not the manufacturer of these products we cannot guarantee exact age and only offer our best estimate. We also cannot guarantee the longevity of any item.

 

How do you do Quality Control?

 

Like what we have said, each item we offer is hand picked from where we get it. Once when acquired, each piece is carefully hand-washed.  When dry, we inspect and get the measurements of each item. We then take them by bulk to a Laundry shop and have them washed again for hygienic reasons before taking each item’s photograph and storing it in our stock room.

 

Do you offer Men’s clothing?

 

Unfortunately, we just offer stuff for women.

 

How much is the shipping?

 

Standard shipping rate is 100 pesos if within Metro Manila only, Maximum of 2 items per shipping so it could fit in the VIVA VINTAGE BOX. For other Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao buyers, we could give you the shipping rate right after you give us your exact location and how many items you are getting. Unfortunately, WE DONT DO MEET UPS & PICK-UPS for the items.

 

Do you ship internationally and how much will it cost?

 

At present, we only cater to buyers in the Philippines or foreigners with Philippine postal address only.

 

Do you accept returns?

Please make sure to read all the information provided on each item. Check the measurements and condition to make sure it is what you are looking for. We take great care in accurately providing all important information and images to insure you get what you purchase. Due to our detailed descriptions we do not accept returns and reselling. All sales are final. If you’re disappointed with the item, please inform us and we’ll see IF we could do something about it.
